Previously desktop computers differed from laptops in performance, stability, power, speed and ability to process data, today that reality has changed as technology has advanced so much that it has made it possible to develop high quality portable computers, which have taken over the software market, displacing desktop computers down to a second level, but even though technology has progressed, some differences between these two devices have not changed and probably will never do.
There are many users who prefer desktop computers, as these have a wide variety of features, which make them keeping their greater superiority before notebooks.
One of these features is the high level graph with desktop computers, compared to a much lower video card and motherboard that holds the laptop, because the manufacturer reduces the quality to reduce size and thereby raise the plate is attached to the notebook’s small frame, but instead of doing that, on a desktop computer, this problem is circumstantial, since what matters is not to reduce plaque size but increase quality and capacity of the same.
Similarly, reducing audio and video capacity to be able to provide a better comfort, but consequently lost the high quality and capacity.
In relation to the various components of these two devices, it is important to mention that the portable devices used in the manufacturing of laptops are very expensive, unless the user has some sort of guarantee; it is very complicated to change some internal piece inside the device.
Similarly, it becomes much more difficult to change the RAM and the hard drive, because the latter will require some special techniques to be changed, if the user wishes to increase storage capacity. However, in a desktop computer, the user can do it easily without any third party.
The most relevant aspect regarding laptops is that they are versatile, meaning that users can carry them anywhere, but they will run the risk of being robbed or having their devices damaged by unknown circumstances. Also one of its disadvantages is that they requires an energy supply point to activate or some power, but any battery will have short duration, and the constant use wears it out very quickly, shortening its useful life.
Besides, laptops tend to get warmed up very quickly, the little internal space that exists between devices, causing various conflicts in the internal connections; instead of that, desktop computers have more space to append internal fans with no trouble, and in this way it is much easier for it to avoid internal heating among the connections and internal devices.
In conclusion, the choice depends on the user and whether he or she chooses to carry or not the equipment around. Either way, you can always save some time if you have equipment on hand. Today technology has advanced surprisingly, creating multiple computers that are tailored to suit the client; you can find laptops, notebooks, netbooks and TabletPCs, among other devices that offer greater convenience to the user
