Gratitude note for attending my wedding

Thanking the guests who attended the wedding party is a courtesy that very few couples who get married are used to do, due to fact that they are completely unfamiliar with that and that it can be made through a card or letter, although in some special cases it may be face to face.

Marriage is a pillar institution in the various societies, in whose celebration not only the relatives of the bride and groom are involved, but also their closest friends. But what is the purpose of this participation? Nothing but to honor the decision of the new partner and to do that, they not only attend the marriage, but they also made gifts to symbolize their good wishes towards the new couple.

Many times, because of a lack of knowledge of the most elementary rules of courtesy, newly married couples do not thank those who attended the wedding party or those who made them gifts, others do not thank because they do not know when is the right time to express their gratitude; this is why, in the following lines, we will advise them what to do and how to do it..

The first thing to be done is for the couple to agree if they are both determined to acknowledge the presence of the guests at their marriage, because both must jointly make the actions of thanks.

The second is to determine when is the most suitable date to implement the actions of thanks, some believe when you receive gifts, others when the guests confirmed their attendance at religious wedding and wedding party; what we believe is the right time to do so, is once you have passed the events mentioned two lines above.

The third is to determine how to thank, because for some, it’s enough to send a card with a few short sentences, for others, it is adequate to send a letter explaining the appreciation for their presence at the marriage ceremony and the gift given; and for some others, the appreciation should be personal, but only for those with whom we share a closer bond.

In either case it is necessary that the one, who is in charge of receiving the gifts, writes a list of those who are sending their gift, being careful enough to keep the cards attached to the packages. And anyone who welcomes guests to the wedding party must be careful to write down the names of the participants, taking as basis the previously designed guest list.

Do not forget that mentioning the gift given to the assistant means that the gratitude must be customized. Do not forget that the thank-you card or letter must be signed by the two partners.

It is advised that the letters or cards are printed on computer, and on a paper similar to the one used for the wedding invitations. The letter will be written in non-formal look with phrases of greeting and a warm farewell and them should be sent with no more than a month since completion of the wedding.
