Letter of Appreciation

Writing a letter of appreciation to a boss for granting the permits we might have requested, is a task that many workers prefer to avoid been considered as if they were flattering to much their bosses, but what is clear is that many times these permissions depend on a mature and reflective attitude of the heads, as well as from and adequate human resources policy of the company, so be thankful is not a synonymous of weakness but of authentic recognition of a chief who understood the situation and showed the willingness to help the worker.

The letters, whatever their type or destination might be, require a number of basic details, such as being concise, specific and clear so that its reading makes it clear your objective quickly. All cards have three parts and these are the header, content and completion.

In the heading we should place the city, the date and every other detail of the person to whom we are addressing ourselves to. The content may be from one or two paragraphs, depending on what we look for with the letter, and we should state what we want and in the second paragraph, basically, our request. At the culmination of the letter, we must thank for the attention given to our letter.

The cards can be used not only for looking for an employment, or thank for job opportunities, but they can also be used to establish trust with our heads and we can use them to ask permission, to thank for the permissions granted, to request annual vacations, to communicate medical prescription breaks or whatever we want a written record of.

Many times we believe that only through the work we make our boss is forced to give and facilitate us many things and this is not true at all, we always need our leaders to recognize their willingness to support us in all of those moments when we really need them.

Unlike other types of letter, they way in which we addressed to the recipient is not formal but personal, because its content expresses a feeling, what we feel about the person who helped us.

Gratitude letters should be direct and concrete with an extension not exceeding 01 page. Models can be found in many online websites or at your own word processors, which we use as reference.

Not been a letter of job search, business or a company, you can skip any formal writing, but always respecting the contents that every letter bears, such as the city, date, recipient, title, content and farewell.

In short, writing gratitude letters has a personal tone, although it addresses the report to the head, its contents allows certain licenses in the treatment and the dismissal because their purpose is to show how grateful we are for the assistance provided by our superior, from a personal standpoint.
